The 7Cs Of Change...


You may find yourself tasked with implementing a transformation on your own or as part of a team.  In either event, a framework to follow can provide guidance and discipline.   Such a framework should allow each member of the team to align around a common goal, establish that each member undertakes their specific tasks whilst supporting the wider group and ensure that all necessary components for any change are in place so that there is no weakest link.

The 7Cs Of Change is Change Management framework to support the delivery of Business Transformations:


Change Clarity : Defining Change
Change Coordination : Planning the Change
Change Capability : Building capability for the Change
Change Commitement : Creating buy-in for the Change
Change Champion : Creating Change Champions
Change Communication : Communicating the Change
Change Cementation : Making the Change stick

The above 7Cs Of Change are necessary components of any business transformation.  And for each of these Cs Of Change there are supporting tools to help ensure that the change itself and the acceptance of it are aligned in support of each other to deliver effective and sustainable transformation.

Each of the 7Cs are equally important, but each one may be of different priority to the project team at different times.  The sequence of priorities can be defined via a change diagnostics.
